Dino Park and other track Break Fun!!

Caleb is on track break for the next 3 weeks. Tank had to go to Lake Tahoe and San Fran for the week for work, so I thought I would take the boys to do some fun things while he was gone. So yesterday we went to the Dinosaur Park up in Ogden. We went with our neighbor Susan and her daughter Madison. We had originally planned to leave around 12:30 but that didn't quite work out for me. I had being running around all morning I had to pick up Cole from preschool, go to Walmart, take Caleb to swimming lessons and sit there with the other 3 while he had them and then we went home. I was just going to feed Cooper the rest of his bottle and be on our way. So, I left my purse in the car (I know you can already see where this is going) I left it in there so it would be one less thing to carry back out to the car because we were planning on taking our lunch and having a picnic there. I get all of our stuff ready and Susan is there so I go out to put the cooler and stuff in the car and it was locked. Yes my purse with my keys are still inside. The spare key was no where to be found. So I have to call a Locksmith to come open my car and thanks to my fancy new car that I love it took the guy about an hour to get it open. It has a relocking mechanism on it so whenever he would pop the lock it would relock and set off the alarm!! So he finally got a hold of Toyota and made me a new key. Problem solved and 2 hours later we were on our way. We had already ate our picnic lunch at the kitchen table so we just brought some snacks. The boys and Madison had a great time at the park and they were all troopers. As crazy as this may sound, it is easier for me to take the kids out then it is to keep them at the house. Luckily Cooper enjoys his snugli and Brock is getting better at listening to me and staying close. The other great adventure that we are doing this track break which I mentioned earlier is that Caleb is doing swimming lessons. He is actually doing pretty good, much better than last time and it is nice, his friend, Ty, is in the same class. We are going to the Zoo tomorrow so I will post pictures from that soon.

Well I have been saying it for the past few months now (okay lets be honest for the past 7 1/2 years) that I want to lose weight and get back in shape. But I am really good at finding excuses but since I can't use the excuse of after I am done having kids anymore I figured it was time. So thanks to my wonderful husband who loves to buy things, we now have a
It really is fun and I feel like I am getting a workout. The first night we got it, I played on it for over an hour. After all the kids were in bed of course because Mom is the last one to get to play the Wii unless they need help passing a level or something. My favorite game is the hula hoop and this is because I rock at it!!!

So I hope that I will be able to use this to get in shape. Now I just have to find the time good thing I am a night owl because it is looking more and more like it will have to be between 10pm and midnight.

Well Check Time

Cooper and Cole both went to see the doctor for their well checks yesterday. Cole was going in for his 4 year old (I know, I am big slacker since the kid is already 4 1/2) and Cooper went for his 2 month. Cole weighed 47lbs and was 46 and 1/2 inches tall. That put him above the 97th percentile for height which caught the doctor by surprise but I told him that Cole is about a head taller then the rest of the kids his age. Cooper came in weighing 10lbs 14 oz and was 21 and 1/2 inches. So he has doubled his body weight since birth so we are really happy about both check-ups. The downside of the visit was that they both had to get shots. So I had a great Mom experience with that. I had Brock with us and he was crying the whole time because he thought the doctor was going to look at him and needless to say the kid has been to enough doctors in his time. Cole was crying before it was even time for the shots so I knew I was going to have to hold him while they did. So I put Cooper in his car seat and he was screaming Cole was screaming while he was getting his shots and Brock was screaming because everyone else was. It was one of those times where if I didn't just laugh about the whole thing I might have gotten really upset. But they are all up to date with their shots and their well checks, and I am sure glad that day is over!!

Cooper is 2 Months old!!!

Today Cooper is 2 months old!! He is getting so big (well at least to me!) He is really starting to hold his head up good and he is really alert when he is awake. He is also the best sleeper of the bunch. He usually sleeps at least 5 hours or more when I put him down for the night. He has his 2 month check-up tomorrow so I will post his height, weight etc. then.

Cole's 1st Day and other fun stuff

Cole's first day of preschool was September 2nd.
This is his first year going to an actual preschool. Last year a group of moms in our neighborhood just did a little preschool in our homes once a week. But for some reason I didn't really feel up to the challenge with 2 other little ones at home. The preschool he is going to is called Performance Preschool. His teacher is Miss Connie Bohn. She is really nice. I asked Cole if he liked her and he said she is really really nice. He did great on his first day. I walked him in and helped him pick out his seat. None of his friends were there yet so I asked him if he wanted me to stay or if he was alright. He said he was alright so I left. He does great with going to school. I just drop him off and he goes right in. So, good job COLE!!
Here is a picture of the letters I did for Brocks room. Thanks to the help from Natalie she did the vinyl. It ended up turning out better than I thought so I was happy with it.

If you don't recognize this scary witch it because she is so much cuter without her wig!!! This is Rachel, Natalies oldest. The wig was from some old Halloween stuff Grandma Criddle had so Rachel decided to try it on. She is such a good sport because the dress she has on and now the wig are the only girl dress ups we have in this house of BOYS!!!!!

Taking flight!

Tanks parents came up on Tuesday, August 26th for Coopers Blessing and to spend time with the Stearman Clan. It was fun for them to come and see how the boys have changed and grown. One of the things that they did with Tank and the boys was The Hillfield Air Museum. Caleb had already been there for a field trip in 1st grade, but this was a first for everyone else. They had a really good time. Here are a few pictures from their trip.

Cooper's Blessing Day

Sunday August 31, 2008 was Cooper's Blessing Day.
We were lucky enough to have our Bishop allow us to bless Cooper this past Sunday because it was Labor Day and it made traveling a lot easier for all of our family who came to show their support. It was a very fun weekend. Ryan, Daylemarie, Jayla, and Brandon all came in around 12:30am on Friday night/Saturday Morning. My parents brought them all up and went to stay with Grandpa and Grandma Criddles. Tanks parents were here already they had come up the Tuesday before. (I will post more about their trip later.) Natalie, Brian, Rachel, and Erick came up on Saturday. We spent Saturday visiting and had a BBQ at our house. The kids had a good time playing the Wii and playing outside. Then the BIG Kids had a lot of fun playing volleyball. I set up our grass net in the backyard and we had a good time playing. After it got too dark the boys headed over to the Church to play a little basketball. In which the older married guys were put to shame by Brandon. (I guess it pays to be young and single!!! Here are a few pictures we took.

Sunday was the blessing day. Tank gave a really nice blessing and Cooper was a little angel. He didn't make one peep the whole time. The people that stood in the circle were Tank, Grandpa Eves, Grandpa Criddle, Grandpa Stearman and Bishop Nussbaum. Our stake has a rule that there can only be 6 people in the circle and that includes The person giving the blessing and the bishop. After sacrament meeting we headed back over to our house for a little lunch/dinner. We had Kaluha pork, Macaroni Salad, Fruit Salad and dip, Pasta Salad, Cucumber salad, Baked beans, Chocolate sheet cake, and ice cream. The friends in family that we had in attendance were Grandmas and Grandpas Eves, Stearman, and Criddle, the Hafens, the Eves, Brandon, the Criddles, and the Savitts. Tank's aunts and cousins also came to the blessing but weren't able to make it to the house after. So we want to thank everyone for coming and enjoying Cooper's special day with us. We had a really fun time!!!
