FHE Wreaths

Disclaimer: Picture not so great taken with Tanks IPHONE
Tonight for FHE we made popcorn Christmas Wreaths. We made some for our FHE treat and then we also made some for the boys primary teachers. They had fun making them and then after they ate their wreaths while we watch the First Presidency Christmas Devotional.

Fire at Thanksgiving

This year for Thanksgiving we were lucky enough to be invited to some of our new friends house. Tank has known the husband for a while, they both work for Best Buy. They live in a nearby town called Monument. The boys had a really good time playing with their boys and we ate really good. This family is super nice and very welcoming. They invited the Firefighters from the nearby Fire Station to come for dinner and they brought their fire trucks and ambulance. They let all the kids get in the fire truck and Cooper even got to pull the horn. It was a very fun Thanksgiving and we are grateful for our new friendships we have made.

Elves Old School!!

He knows if you have been naughty or nice!

The library had a special event where they had Santa come and tell the kids a story, they sang some songs and last but not least they got to visit with Santa on his lap and get a Candy Cane. I thought I would give it a try since the boys are getting older. They were super excited when Santa arrived but when the time came Cooper wanted nothing to do with him and Brock was only going up there if I was right there. So we waited for our turn by making a craft which Brock insisted on giving to Santa when we got up there. I did get them to sit/stand by Santa but I had to be in the picture!!(Thank goodness for Cropping!) So My question is .......
NAUGHTY OR NICE?????????
By the looks of them you have to say Nice but there are definitely days where they are definitely leaning more to the naughty side!!!

Vinyl Projects

For Christmas this year, I got a Vinyl Machine. I opened it a little early to make some gifts for Christmas. I am still learning how to use it but it is fun. Here are a few of the projects I have been working on. Once I put up the quotes in my house I will post pictures of those too!
Here are some chargers that I made for my Visiting Teachers and the ladies I visit teach!

These are the signs I made for Caleb and Cole's Teachers for Christmas.

Invesco Field Tour

We had our second visitors last week. My parents came out to visit us. We were all so excited. We were all feeling a bit under the weather so we didn't do much while they were here. But we did have tickets to go do a tour at Invesco Field. When we went to San Diego in January we did the Petco Park Tour and it was neat so we thought we would give this tour a try. It was a lot of fun to go out on the field and see all the different places in the facility.

There was a Sports Hall of Fame Museum in the building that had a Kids sports fun zone. So before the tour started we went in. They had all kinds of different uniforms and sports equipment that the kids could try on. So here are my boys future Colorado Hall of Famers!!
Cooper the hockey player.

Caleb the football player and Cole the basketball player.

Brock the skier!
Cole suiting up for the big game!!

Let it Snow!

We have lucked out since we have moved to Colorado and only had snow twice. The first time it snowed it snowed a ton. The boys were so excited for the first snow of winter, they wanted to go out and play in it. So we got them all suited up and out they went. They had a lot of fun making and throwing snow balls at each other. Caleb with his cool nerf shades on.
Let the snow ball fight begin!

Cole rolling around in the snow. He loved the snow the most out of everyone.
Cooper enjoyed the snow I don't think he remembered the last time he played in the snow.

Brock getting down and dirty like he does with everything he does.

Cole in attack mode.

Caleb either getting ready to make a snow angel or down and out for the count.

Just so happy to be outside.

Watch out below!

Projects

I stole this idea from my super creative friend Shelli, so I hope she doesn't mind. But I loved how simple and cute this project was. I decided to make one for each of the boys for their rooms. I bought wood frames, painted them to match their rooms, created a wordle and printed it out on vellum, printed a picture of one of their favorite things on cardstock and put it all together! They really liked that I had included all the things that they like on their project. I am slowly getting this new house decorated, when I am done I will post pictures. I just bought a vinyl machine today so I will be able to make some fun projects and sayings to go up around the house!

Still Jazz Fans

Even though we are in Nuggets Territory. we are still and probably always will be JAZZ FANS! The Jazz came to Denver a couple of weeks ago to play the Nuggets and Tank called up his buddy in SLC and he hooked him up with some great tickets! Caleb and Tank had a good time at the game even though the Jazz weren't playing as awesome as they are now! We are so lucky to have such neat experiences!

Go Broncos!!

We had our first Visitor back on October 26th. Tank got tickets to the Denver Broncos vs the Oakland Raiders. So he invited our friend Tyler to come out and go to the game with him. It was a quick trip and the Broncos played horrible. But it was fun to have Tyler come visit but I did tell him next time he needs to bring the rest of the family. We miss those girls!! All four of them! Tank and Tyler had a good time despite the lack of good football. We love to have visitors so anyone is welcome anytime!!

Brocks New Friend

This past weekend a friend of Tank's from work invited our family over for dinner. They made a really yummy dinner in their smoker. Brock being the crazy kid he is made new friends with the family and their pet snake Cocoa. He was the only one of the boys that wanted to hold it let alone touch it. He thought it was pretty cool that he could have it around his neck until it licked his glasses. He keeps telling everyone he got a hug from a snake!!

Littleton Musem

While the boys were on Fall break in October some of our new friends invited us to go to the Littleton Museum with them. It was a lot of fun. They had animals for the kids to look at and old farm equipment and houses and blacksmiths store. The boys had a lot of fun just being outside and running around. The funniest was Cooper and the leaves. There were leaves everywhere and he would run through them and then squeal out in joy. He loved to throw them over the bridge and watch them float too!I love that such little things make kids so happy!! We are really making some good friends here and the kids are having a good time!

Fire Department Field Trip

There is a Fire Station right outside of our subdivision here in Castle Rock. We have to drive by it whenever we go anywhere. Brock loves fire trucks. So he would ask me everyday if we could go visit the fire station. So the boys had a fall break a couple of weeks ago so I scheduled a field trip with some of our new friends here. The Firemean were really nice and showed us all around the station and the trucks. The firemen told us they weren't the cooking types so the next week Brock and I took them dinner to thank them for the tour. They gave him a fire hat and he was in heaven.

Harvest Day Parade

Caleb and Cole's school decided to try something different this year. Instead of having Halloween activities at school they decided to focus on Harvest Day. They assigned each of the classes a fruit or vegatable. Caleb's class was Pumpkins and Coles class was carrots. They had the parents volunteer to make items with their fruit or vegatable to sell at a Farmer's Market. Each of the kids got a ticket to buy something at the Market and they could bring a dollar from home and spend it. The boys really enjoyed it and it was a nice change from all the Halloween parties.

Happy Halloween

This year with Halloween falling on Sunday, I was worried that the boys may not have a chance to trick or treat. Luckily our ward had a ward party and a trunk or treat. The party was crazy, there were tons of people there. We had a chili dinner and then the boys went from car to car trick or treating. The boys had a really good time! Cooper with his big score!! He was so Happy to have all that candy .Cole the Army Commander Caleb a Motorcross GuyBrock Teenage Mutant Turtle The boys wanted to do a Halloween Craft this year so we made Candy Corn Pots out of terra cotta pots. We bought a Haunted Gingerbread House and decorated for our Friday Family Activity!!
