Snowman and Jumperoos

Today we had a little bit of free time, so I bundled up Caleb, Cole, and Brock while Cooper was napping and let them loose in the backyard. We have had snow on and off for the past week and it has stayed cold enough that it hasn't melted. So they had a few snowball fights and I went and helped them build a snowman. (I will say this every year because it is true, when you grow up in Vegas, you don't have a lot of opportunity to perfect your snowman building skills!!) So this is the best I could on on a short amount of time.
This is not how he was sleeping while we were building the snowman, just a funny picture of him sleeping after I finished feeding him
(I was right by him the whole time!!)

Cooper has become quite the jumper in his little jumperoo. I thought Brock was a jumper but there is really no contest here. Cooper will stay in here and jump for like a 1/2 hour. It is really nice and fun to watch at the same time.

Preschool Program

Cole had his preschool program on Wednesday. Overall it was pretty good. The kids knew the songs pretty well, our little Cole is not a singer, As you can see in the video!

After the program, a special visitor came to visit. As soon as Santa walked in the room Brock let out a huge scream saying, "NO! NO THANK YOU!! NO SANTA!!!" He even told me he didn't want Santa coming to our house!! We will see on Christmas morning if he likes Santa any better!!

Nine Years and counting!!!

Today is mine and Tank's 9 year anniversary!! We have had a lot of good times over the past nine years and as my neighbor put it have been very reproductive with our four sweet little boys! I am so glad that Tank came into my life. Everyone was a little skeptical of us getting engaged after dating for only three weeks but it was the best decision Tank ever made!! (Well me too!!) I am lucky to have my best friend, father of my boys, and husband all rolled into one. I am thankful for his laid back attitude on life that has made me a little more mellow and also makes life so pleasant. He fits into my family well which makes my life a lot easier and he is always willing to help out anyone he can. He is such a good example to me and the boys and we are grateful that he holds the priesthood. So after all that sappy stuff, here's to 90 more great years!!!

Cooper is 5 months!!

Cooper turned 5 months old on December 8th. He is getting so big so fast! We have been giving him Rice Cereal for the past couple of weeks but on Tuesday, December 9th, he tried baby food for the first time. He had sweet potatoes and the next day he has some bananas! He loved them. Looks like he is not going to have any trouble fitting in with the other Stearman boys around here when it comes to eating!!

Cole's Swimming Lessons

Cole took swimming lessons for the first time these past two weeks. He actually did pretty good. It was funny to see the difference between him and Caleb. Cole is so much like Tank and takes the same approach with swimming lessons as Tank would. He loved to float on his back and would just lay there all relaxed and mellow. (Remind you of anyone??) Then Caleb on the other hand was very good at the technique but did not like to get water in his face and would freak out a bit.(Anyone who was around for the younger years of me know where he gets that from!) By the end of the 2 weeks he was quite good with the back float we were so proud of him!! Good Job Cole!

Tanks Italy Trip

Tank made it back safe and sound from his trip to Italy. He had a great time seeing new sights and visiting some old ones. They had quite the experience in London, being stopped by the police 3 or 4 times not to mention getting a boot on the car. Rome was great they had a good time seeing the sights and visiting members from when they were on their mission. All in all it was totally worth the trip but he was nice enough to say next time he wanted me to go with him. Here is a little slide show of some of the sights! Enjoy!!

Happy Halloween!!

We have had our fair share of fall and Halloween activities over the past few weeks. We have been to Pumpkin Patch/Corn Maze, Pumpkin walk (put on by the city, really neat, over 1000 carved pumpkins along a trail and lit), playgroup trick or treat, and school parties. So we have already taken pictures of the Halloween costumes and by some miracle they have all decided to keep the same costumes for tonight. So here are the pictures!!!

Single Mom

Well I am at day 9 of 10 of being a single Mom. Tank left on the 20th of October to go on his trip. He headed back over to his mission stomping grounds (Rome). He flew into Paris to meet a Mission companion. They have spent the last 9 days together exploring London, Paris, Rome, Naples, And many other cities that youwill hear about later when he gets home and see his pictures!! I thought I would do a quick comparison of Tanks past 10 days and my past ten days!!

Black Island Farms

Last week our neighborhood all gathered at Black Island farms which is a corn maze/pumpkin patch /playground all in one. The kids had a blast we got to pick pumpkins, go through the kiddie maze, go down slides, ride in a train and have lunch. We were there for 3 hours and the kids were so sad to leave, me, not so much!!! I am glad that we go and do fun stuff like this because I really want to create memories with the boys but sometimes it can be a bit overwhelming by myself. So lucky for me, my poor friend Sheryl and her son Ty get dragged around everywhere with us and she ends up doing the things with the boys that I can't because I am holding Cooper. (Like going down the huge grain shoot slide! So thanks a bunch Sheryl you are a lifesaver!!!

Oh what a trip!!!!

Well, I did it! I can now say I successfully traveled down to St. George and back with the kids by myself! I can't complain too much because all in all the boys were pretty good. They were good the last half of the trip on the way down there and good the first half of the trip back! It took us about 6 hours to make the 4 hour 45 minute trip regularly. We had to stop 4 times by time we got to Filmore which is about 2 and 1/2 hours to our destination but after we had lunch and hit the city park it was smooth sailing from there. We got to see some old friends while in St. George, We hung out with the Cummins, Joye, Chloe, and Claire (such cute girls!!) and the Housekeepeers, Lyndsi, Darin, Jace, Luke, and Lily. (Cute, fun family!) The boys had a good time hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa, Uncles Ryan and Brandon, Aunt Daylemarie and of course their cousin Jayla. We ended up cutting the trip short due to a storm headed for up north but we really had a great time while were there. But like any trip it is nice to be home!!

A Day at the Zoo (Yes the actual zoo, not our house!)

For another fun activity while Caleb was on track break we headed down to Hogle Zoo. This was our first visit this year. The boys had a really good time running around looking at all the animals.

The zoo recently installed a new carousel so we all took a ride on it. We went with our track break friends the Witts which made it nice for all of us, Caleb and Cole had friend to pal around with and Brock hung out with Sheryl so it was a lot easier on me. Cooper like always was a trooper!!!

I think the boys favorite part was going to the bird show. The birds fly right above your head. So after 3 hours of looking at animals, lunch, and a trip to the gift shop we were on our way home! Brock wasn't the only one who was pooped!

Dino Park and other track Break Fun!!

Caleb is on track break for the next 3 weeks. Tank had to go to Lake Tahoe and San Fran for the week for work, so I thought I would take the boys to do some fun things while he was gone. So yesterday we went to the Dinosaur Park up in Ogden. We went with our neighbor Susan and her daughter Madison. We had originally planned to leave around 12:30 but that didn't quite work out for me. I had being running around all morning I had to pick up Cole from preschool, go to Walmart, take Caleb to swimming lessons and sit there with the other 3 while he had them and then we went home. I was just going to feed Cooper the rest of his bottle and be on our way. So, I left my purse in the car (I know you can already see where this is going) I left it in there so it would be one less thing to carry back out to the car because we were planning on taking our lunch and having a picnic there. I get all of our stuff ready and Susan is there so I go out to put the cooler and stuff in the car and it was locked. Yes my purse with my keys are still inside. The spare key was no where to be found. So I have to call a Locksmith to come open my car and thanks to my fancy new car that I love it took the guy about an hour to get it open. It has a relocking mechanism on it so whenever he would pop the lock it would relock and set off the alarm!! So he finally got a hold of Toyota and made me a new key. Problem solved and 2 hours later we were on our way. We had already ate our picnic lunch at the kitchen table so we just brought some snacks. The boys and Madison had a great time at the park and they were all troopers. As crazy as this may sound, it is easier for me to take the kids out then it is to keep them at the house. Luckily Cooper enjoys his snugli and Brock is getting better at listening to me and staying close. The other great adventure that we are doing this track break which I mentioned earlier is that Caleb is doing swimming lessons. He is actually doing pretty good, much better than last time and it is nice, his friend, Ty, is in the same class. We are going to the Zoo tomorrow so I will post pictures from that soon.
