Take you back Thursdays!!

This is a new idea I thought of the other night when I was driving home from Volleyball. You know how people always say that a smell , taste, or song can recall a memory easily. Well, I do this all the time with music so every Thursday I am going to put a new song on my playlist as the first song and see if it brings up any of the same memories for you guys! So this weeks Song takes me back to : RAD!!!! Have Fun!

Stearman All-Star Party

Caleb had his birthday party a couple of weeks ago. I know I am a slacker but here are a few pictures and highlights of the event. He wanted to have a basketball theme. So we sent out invitations shaped like basketballs. I got t-shirts from Hobby Lobby and ironed on numbers for each of the boys for their jerseys. For the game we had our own little All-star Tournament. We did a free throw contest, 3-point contest, and a slam dunk contest, the boys each had their own numbers to hold up to judge each other. (All done on the little hoop in our basement.) I think the boys had a good time and everyone received an award. After the games we went up to the Kitchen and had ball game food (Hot Dogs, Nachos, and Pretzel Bites with Cheese and Gatorade). Instead of a Birthday cake, I made cupcakes, frosted them orange and made them into the shape of a basketball.

Then we did presents. Caleb really liked all of his presents but I think he liked his basketball signed by the whole Utah Jazz team and his new Lebron James basketball shoes the best. Overall the party was a success and now I have to gear up for Cole's party on Feb. 2nd!!!

The Big Split

Last Sunday was the day that all of us here in the Syracuse South Stake have been eagerly awaiting. They split our ward and a few other wards. They basically took 4 wards and made 6. We were put in a brand new ward. The name of our new ward is The Jensen Park Ward. The nice thing was that our ward is basically the same minus about 1/3 of the ward. We didn't get any new families. I am sad about the families we did lose but excited to be in a smaller ward so we can get to know people better. Our new Bishop is Bishop Loosli. I am very excited to have him as our Bishop he seems like a really great guy. Tank was called as the Executive Secretary so he will get to know Bishop very well. Change is always sad but I am excited to see where this goes.

Christmas Finally!!!

I got the boys matching PJs this year! I thought it was a cute idea
(In this house full of boys I was the only one who thought so!!)
Well I am a little late with the Christmas post but you know what they say, better late then never right!! We had a good Christmas this year, we still have to work on managing four kids and the camera so our pictures are very few. The boys were so excited this year, like I have mentioned in earlier posts, Brock was excited for Christmas NOT SANTA!!! He even said to me today after I bought this cute Santa decoration that there are no Santa's at Brock's house!! So he doesn't realize or chooses not to realize that he got gifts from Santa. A few of the boys favorite presents this year were Train table, Vsmile Pocket, Wii Games, New church clothes, Basketball book, and light sabers. So thank you again to everyone who gave us Christmas presents this year we loved all of them.
Now why can't Brock just picture Santa like this!!
Who couldn't like this Santa????
All three of the big boys got these cool color changing light sabers!!
Cole and Brock got this Awesome train table and it has been the hit this year!
Mine and Tanks Christmas presents this year! The TV and Fireplace!
Thanks Dad it looks amazing!!

Pooped after a hard mornings work!!

After all the opening and putting together, I went to work and took down all the of Christmas stuff and put it away. I know I sound like a Grinch but me and the boys were leaving the next morning to go down to St. George and I didn't want to have to come home and do all the laundry and put away everything. And let me tell you it was nice to come home to a clean house. Me and boys headed down to St. George the day after Christmas to spend some time with my family. It hasn't got much easier with each trip down, it still took us about 7 hours to get there and let me tell you once we hit St. George I don't have it in me to travel one more mile for at least 3 to 5 days! It was so nice to get to see family and friends down there. It had been years since I had seen some of my cousins and it was really nice to see them again. But we had a great time and were able to make it back to ring in the new year with Tank!

So Happy 2009 to everyone!!
