Yellowstone - Continued

We spent the rest of Monday setting up camp and having dinner. It was out night for dinner so we decided to do Navajo Tacos. Luckily we bought our tent from Sams club and Tank being the big time camper he is, wanted the one that had poles already attached to it for easy set -up. So after we got it figured out we were able to set it up relatively quickly unlike another family in our group who had a heck of a time setting up their brand new tent!! It was July when we went but you would not have been able to tell by the weather. It was freezing!! So after we had dinner we cleaned up because of the BEAR factor there we really had to clean up good. Then we sat around by the fire and had smores and then everyone was so cold they headed to bed. It was not the best night of sleep we have ever had. It pretty much rained the whole night, Brock Cole, and Cooper were on the air mattress and it had a hole in it so they kept rolling off of it so I had to keep getting out of my warm sleeping bag to push them back up and then I would be just about asleep again when another one would roll off. So I was up at 5:30am trying to start the fire to get warm. After a yummy breakfast we headed off to go sight seeing and sight seeing we did. Below are a few pictures of what we found in our travels! Above is an Elk that we saw grazing on the grass. We didn't see a whole lot of Wildlife it sounded like they were all up North and we stayed mainly in the southern parts.
On our way home we stopped at Mesa Falls again to see the falls. They are so pretty and they were on the way so we thought why not!!

This is a picture of the Upper falls. It was so pretty. I love Waterfalls and could take a hundred pictures of them.

This was the waterfall at Jenny Lake that we hiked to.

This was Old Faithful, I am glad that I got to see it but I do have to say it is way overrated. It is so commercialized and so crowded it looked like we were parking to go to Disneyland.

Here are Caleb and Cole at Emerald Springs one of the may Hot pots at the park .

Here are Tank, Caleb, Cole and Brock at the Lower falls lookout.

The whole Stearman Clan at the Upper Falls picture spot! Everyone is so happy to get their picture taken!!

Here are Tank, Caleb, Cole, and Cooper at the Mud Volcano. It was pretty neat to see the mud spouting out.

Here are Cooper Caleb hanging out together! Cooper was so funny he wore those sunglasses everywhere! He was a total rock star!!
It was a great family vacation and now we can say we have been there and done that!!

Yellowstone - Jenny Lake

This year for our Eves family Vacation we decided to head to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. Our family had never been so we were excited to go camping. Our plan was to head up the Grand Tetons on Monday July 5th. We wanted to do something fun there and then head up to Yellowstone and set up camp. We decded to go to Jenny Lake.

We took the ferry across the Lake and then got off and hiked up to the falls there. It was a pretty hike and the view of the waterfall was pretty too.
Brock did pretty good for most of the hike. Witht that look on his face though how could you ever get mad at him even when he is complaining?? Here is Tank and the boys on their way up. This was a before picture of Cole (I didn't get the after picture) but after we had hiked up to the falls, him and Caleb were messing around with the hiking sticks they had and it hit Cole in the mouth. He already had a loose toothe and this just knocked it looser. So I had to preform Oral Surgery while we were at the falls. But for all you no believers out there, the Tooth Fairy did find Cole even up at Yellowstone. Caleb is such a ladies man!! He loves hanging out with his cousins. It is so nice that they are so close even though we don't get to see them as much as we would like.

We have moved not died!!

I have been up to my eyeballs in all kinds of stuff over the last few months! In the past 2 1/2 months we have got a new job in Colorado (Tank), drove out to Colorado to find a new house, started school 1st and 4th grades (Cole and Caleb), Listed our house in Syracuse to sell, gone to Girls Camp, Tank moved to Colorado to start new job, went to Vegas for Stearman Family Reunion, hung out in St. George, Cleaned the house numerous times to show, packed up whole house to move to Colorado, the boys went back to school after 4 week track break (well Caleb went back), Checked boys out of Bluff Ridge Elementary, hired a moving company, got house ready to move, cleaned house repainting most of it included, movers took all of our stuff to Colorado, said good bye to the best friends we could ever ask for, drove to Colorado, unpacked everything, enrolled the boys in their new school(starting on Monday!). Other than that we have had a pretty boring couple of months!! I will post pics of all of our happening in the next few days! So fear not we have only moved, we are not dead!!

Happy Birthday Cooper!!

I am a little late with this post but I have a good excuse! Cooper's birthday was on July 8th! We were coming back from our Eves family vacation to Yellowstone!(more on that trip later) Cooper has gotten the shaft on his lst 2 birthdays, luckily he is too young to remember. Lat year I left for Girls camp on his bday and this year we were in the car for the majority of the day! We did celebrate his birthday on Sunday July 4th before we left. I will post about his birthday later!

Here are the top 2 I love about you Cooper!!
1. You are the cutest, funniest Two year old I know! I love that you want to be like your big Brother Brock so much that you wear sunglasses or sunglasses with the lenses popped out everywhere you go, so you can look like him.
2. I love that you are learning to talk and repeat everything your brothers say like I don't know, I'm okay and what's up!!

We love you so much Cooper and we are so glad you are part of our family!!!

GAME ON!!!

Okay so some of you have seen that my family has been doing a Biggest Loser Competition over the last 19 weeks! I know you can tell I am not the Biggest Loser but it has made me more motivated to get out there and do more. So my sister was telling me about this book that her friend had that mapped out a weight loss or fitness game. It sounds really fun so if anyone is interested in doing this with me there will be 2 teams competing against each other. I will post more details when I get the book in the mail(I ordered it tonight). It is only for 4 week periods so you mind as well try at least once right!!! Here is a link that you can go to to read more about the game! http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0061718890/ref=ord_cart_shr?ie=UTF8&m=A2PTFCA406K9UV#reader_0061718890

Kickin 5K

Every year the boys school does a 5K fundraiser. This year we decided to participate in it. The boys and I signed up got our shirts and numbers and were ready to go. Then the day of the race, it started to pour. So I was convinced it was not going to happen and then when the rain did stop, it was freezing cold. But Caleb and Cole were determined. Cole was so cute he said Mom we have to do the race, my teacher(Mrs. Adams, who he loves) is going to be waiting for me at the finish line with a medal, I have to go. So off we went and since I didn't think we were going to go we showed up right as it was starting, so I found a parking spot and jumped out of the car and told the boys to start running. We did not train for the 5K and for those of you who know me I hate running. We did pretty good though. Caleb could have finished a lot sooner but he was waiting for Cole and I. Caleb finished in about 35 minutes and Cole and I finished in about 40 minutes so I was proud of the boys for finishing the race and Cole was such a trooper I would tell him okay lets run to that tree and then we can walk. Sure enough when we reached the finish line there was Mrs. Adams with a medal for Cole. He was so happy! We all received Medals and will do the 5K again next year! Yeah Bluffridge!!

Brocks Birthday

Brock had a birthday party this year for his 4th birthday. It was his first party so he was super excited. he decided to change it up this year and instead of having a Thomas Birthday cake for the 3rd year in a row, he went with a Cars Cake and a Hot wheels theme! We played a few games which did not go over too well but I tried. We played pass the hot tow"Mater" with a big Mater Car, and we also tried to play find the small mater using Hot and Cold neither were a huge success but we tried. All in all we ended up doing presents, having Cake and ice cream and then heading down to the basement and playing. He had a really good time and was so excited that it was finally his big day. SO thanks again to everyone who made his day so special!
