Tulip Festival

On Monday we headed down to Thanksgiving Point to go to the Tulip Festival. I thought it would be some new and different to go do but I was so surprised at how cool it was. The kids had a great time running around and looking at all the flowers and fountains. They loved the Children's Garden. It had tunnels and a lighthouse, and Noah's ark, and bear, and mazes. It was awesome. Then after we were done walking through all the gardens we headed over to this large grassy area that had 3 huge waterfalls at the base of it. It was so pretty. We ate our lunch there and then we had to head back to go pick up Caleb from school. We will definitely be returning there as a family and spending even more time there.

Dairy Farm

My friend Tagan' s family has a Dairy Farm and every year some FFA groups go over and they have Farm Days. The past 2 years Calebs School class has gone for a field trip and Tagan has been nice enough to invite us a long with her girls during Farm Days. It is pretty neat. They bring in some sheep, llamas, baby goats, baby calfs, and of course there are cows there. Cole and Brock liked looking at the animals from a distance but not too brave when it came to petting them. It was such a nice day that after we went over to Tagans' parents house to have lunch in their backyard. We all got a little bit of sun but we have to enjoy it when we can get it lately. Cooper was such a great baby he rode in the stroller and even took a little nap.

TreeHouse Museum

The week after we got back from the cruise we took the boys to the Treehouse Museum in Ogden. It is a pretty cool place, it was the first time I had ever been there. Brock was in heaven they have a little area with about 6 or 7 train tables set up for the kids to play with. He pretty much spent his whole time there.
There an old-fashion fire truck that all the boys loved to play on. There was a music area where Cooper enjoyed beating on the drum. There were a ton of different dress-ups for the kids to try on. We stayed for like 2 1/2 hours and the boys wanted to stay longer. We will definitely have to go back.

Easter Fun!!

Our Easter was pretty uneventful this year. Caleb and Cole were up first and Tank and I enjoy our sleep a little too much to get up before Cooper wakes up. So the boys had already scoped out all the places the eggs were hid before we got out to the Front room. Brock is a bear when he sleeps so we let him sleep in peace. So Caleb and Cole found all but 1o of the eggs that we left for Brock and then dug into their loot! And yes I am the kind of Mom that lets her kids have candy for breakfast on Easter! (Just ask my brother, Ryan his thoughts on what I let my kids eat (frosting, cookie dough!) Hey its a holiday right!! Brock eventually woke up and found his eggs and he dug into his bubble gum. We got ready and headed for Church. I had a pretty nice Sunday, in Young Women's but Tank ended up with Brock and Cole in nursery!! Happy Easter to him. We had a nice dinner when we got home and went on a walk. We ended our day the usual Sunday way. a treat and watching Amazing Race as a family!! Earlier in the week, Tank was out of town again! So we had a few friends over and had a Easter Egg hunt in the backyard! And if Tara is reading this I tried to make the Cake Pops (which looked super cute!) they tasted good but didn't really turn out the way they looked on your blog, Maybe next time! Overall, it was a nice Easter break!

All that Jazz!

Well it has been quite the season this year for us and the Utah Jazz. Tank bought Season tickets and let me just tell you there are a lot of games. Don't get me wrong, it was really nice for Tank and the Boys and some of our other family members to be able to go, but 45 games later I was ready for it to be done. I finally convinced Tank that it was Brock's turn to go and he was so excited. He kept telling me and the other boys "I not too little!!" The poor kid is always being told that he can't do this or that because "he is too little". So finally his turn came and off they went Jersey and all. He had his popcorn and Sprite like the other boys do and played find the Jazz Bear and Tank was ready to go at Half time. So home they came.

Caleb finally got his turn with the Jazz Bear down on the court. I have to say Tank has been able to have some pretty nice hook-ups with this whole Best Buy gig, that we are really grateful for. Caleb enjoyed being on the court by the players and meeting the Jazz Bear, but Tank said the part that he enjoyed the most was being even with Cole. I don't have any idea where my kids get their competitiveness from.

You know I always have to have a shot of my favorite Jazz player!!!

Viva la Mexico!!

As most of you have seen on our blog here the vacation countdown for the Eves Family Baja Cruise, well it has come and gone. Let me start this post with saying it is a lot harder to take pictures when you and your husbands hands are full with kids. So needless to say the pictures are few and far between. Our vacation started off rocky with the scare of our cute little niece and cousin Jayla being sick and having to go to the hospital in an airplane for surgery (for more on that story click here http://dmeves.blogspot.com/2009/03/ivs-ambulances-and-life-flight.html ). After we were sure Jayla was okay we were able to enjoy the vacation with regret that the Ryan Eves family would not be able to join us.

We headed to Natalie's on Sunday night had a great dinner and hung out. The next morning we were on the road to Long Beach to get on the boat. The kids did pretty good traveling. We checked-in our bags with a little help from the LA Dodgers!!! Went through the lovely check-in process all the time getting brand new people training. Got on the boat ate some lunch, had a life boat drill with 2 crying kids that did not want their jackets on and then headed to dinner (Our first time sitting down with all the kids in any form of a restaurant setting) Checked out the ship and headed for bed. Needless to say I was exhausted! We got a little puppy backpack (LEASH) for Brock and it was hilarious to watch him drag Tank around the ship. It did work pretty well to keep him by us. But by the end of the trip he never wanted to see that puppy backpack again.

Tuesday we stopped at Catalina Island. We all rented Golf carts and took a tour around the city. After we were done we browsed the shops and Tank and the boys hit up the local Vons for drinks and snacks!

Wednesday it was off to Mexico, Ensenada to be exact. The boys were amazed at the huge Mexican Flag by the port. I was a little leery about getting off the ship with Brock and Cooper. But we decided to get off for a little while and go shopping. Caleb went with my Mom and the Hafens to La Bufadora, Tank, Cole, Cooper, Brock, Brandon, My Dad, and I headed downtown to go shopping. We all ended up with some souvenirs Tank got a Leather (yard work) hat and some sunglasses. Brock and Cole got guitars, I got a Gucci purse, and Cooper got a hat. Caleb got sunglasses.
Thursday we were at sea all day so we took the kids into Camp Carnival and played with the toys. The boys played basketball, mini golf, ping pong and entered a sports trivia contest where my Dad took 3rd!! We only ate in the dining room twice because the buffet was just easier with our kids. Overall it was a good vacation with our family and we loved spending time with them. But like any vacation with kids these ages and one of them being Hurricane Brock, it was a lot of work. We are glad to be home!!
